About Me
Real Life. Real Debt. Real Recovery.
I’ve been where you might be right now — staring down bills I couldn’t keep up with, wondering how I got here, and not sure how to dig my way out.
More than once, debt pulled the rug out from under me. After a divorce, I was left holding most of the financial baggage and had to start over from scratch in a new city with a new job. Years later, I faced it all over again after launching a business right as the 2008 recession hit. That time, I was the one trying to keep things afloat while the economy crumbled underneath me.
Both times, I made it through.
Not because I had a secret weapon or perfect plan — but because I learned to use different strategies, ask hard questions, and stop pretending I’d figure it out “later.”
Now, my husband and I are focused on building true financial freedom.
For us, that means clearing out revolving debt and using our remote work lifestyle to create options — not more obligations. We don’t have it all figured out, but we’ve come a long way, and I know firsthand that change is possible when you commit to it.
Why This Site Exists
I created this space because too many people feel ashamed, overwhelmed, or just plain stuck when it comes to credit card debt. Especially middle-class individuals and families — people who are doing their best, but still find themselves falling behind.
This isn’t a place for judgment.
It’s a place for straight talk, practical steps, and real tools to help you move forward — no matter where you’re starting from.
